In her own words . . .
“I have always taught at a Title 1 school, giving back to at-risk students. Many people have given up on these students. I have not only been a teacher in the classroom, but a mother, counselor, and at times a shoulder to cry on. I am that teacher who never gives up on students, even when they want to throw in the towel themselves.”
In the words of others . . .
“Tracie is very adept at developing relationships with students who need more support at home and at school. Tracie has an excellent relationship with her students. She balances being positive with a firm hand. Her discipline approach is fair and allows for learning outcomes to occur.”
– Julie Porter, DAEP Assistant Principal
“Mrs. Mouton’s students would rate her as ‘great’ and I would absolutely agree. Her ability to interpret complex math concepts and explain challenging subject matter using real-life examples makes all the difference to her students and leads to their success.”
- Kendrick Lookadoo, DAEP Principal
